OPASKWAYAK CREE NATION CHILD & FAMILY SERVICES (OCNCFS)

REQUIRES: Winnipeg sub-office Social Worker permanent positions.

The primary responsibility of the Social Worker is to provide culturally appropriate services to the children and families of Opaskwayak Cree Nation by implementing the Child & Family Services Act and the standards and objectives set by Opaskwayak Cree Nation Child & Family Services. Must be familiar with Child and Family Services Act.

DUTIES: Investigating all child protection matters and ensuring effective case work through, Case Planning, Case Management, Placement, Court Work, Prevention and Community Development. The Social Worker will work co-operatively with OCNCFS Management, Staff and all collateral agencies. REQUIREMENTS: BSW required with two years direct First Nations Child Welfare experience or other related combinations of education and experience, Valid Manitoba Driver’s License, must be willing to travel as required, and ability to speak Cree is an asset.

OPASKWAYAK CREE NATION CHILD & FAMILY SERVICES (OCNCFS)

REQUIRES: INTAKE UNIT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, PERMANENT

OCN CFS is looking for motivated individuals to work in a dynamic work environment.

LOCATION: Opaskwayak, Manitoba

SUMMARY: The Human Resources Assistant will work alongside the Human Resources Coordinator in implementing and maintaining all areas of Human Resources including benefits, pension and salary administration, financial and operations and recruitment and selection. Other areas of responsibility are health and safety, training and development, policies and procedures, and maintaining employee records and agency databases.

REQUIREMENTS: Post-secondary training and education in Human Resources and 2 years direct First Nations Child and Family Services experience or other related combinations of education and experience. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications and have the ability to work in a fast‐paced environment. Must have a valid Manitoba Driver’s License.
